3 cime di Lavaredo, Dolomites
The unmistakable shape of the three vertical walls towering some 700 metres make this route one of the most visited in the Dolomites. The itinerary starts at the Auronzo refuge and runs along the Mezzo pass (2.315 m), Locatelli refuge (2.405 m) and Piani lakes.
Monte Bondone, Trento
Route starting and ending in Torbole, next to Lake Garda. The itinerary offers a wide range of settings, from typical Mediterranean vegetation to alpine landscapes. Its highest point is Mount Bondone, a mountain in the west of Trentino that is part of the Garda Prealps.
Taou Blanc, Alps
Mount Taou is a peak located in the Graian Alps in the Valle d’Aosta region. Together with the Cima di Entrelor and the Cima dell’Aouillé, they make up the three most-visited peaks in the basin between Valsavarenche and Val di Rhêmes. Thanks to its unique position, it is regarded as a natural balcony from which to take in the Gran Paradiso massif.
Paneveggio Pale di San Martino, Dolomites
Iconic route, perhaps one of the most popular in the Dolomites. It starts in the Paneveggio Park visitor’s centre and, through forests, reaches the Malgia Venegia plain, which provides a spectacular view towards Cima Vezzena and Cimon della Pala. The descent begins after Lake Passo.
Bikepacking route starting and ending in Trieste. This is the same track as in the 3rd edition of CARSOtrail, held on May 10, 2019. The route penetrates into Slovenian territory and enters this limestone plateau famous for its landscapes, cliffs and hills overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
