CompeGPS navigation softwares (Land and TwoNav) are fully prepared for Geocaching: full compatibility with the most-commonly used formats *.GPX and *.LOC (depending if you have a Premium account or not).
To open geocaches you only have to drag the file to the main window of Land, or using the ‘open’ menu of Land. Once opened, Land will show the geocache on the map with all its properties, as if it was a waypoint.
Once opened and displayed, get the chance to review its properties by right-clicking the file and clicking “properties”.
In addition, you can associate text documents, descriptions, street directions and even photos to geocaching files. You only have to drag items and attach them to the right file, or select “associate” at geocache’s properties.
Once the geocache has been enriched, it will be ready to be sent from Land to the GPS device.

Difference between *.GPX and *.LOC formats
*.LOC files only contain the coordinates where the treasure is hidden. *.GPX files include coordinates and more information such as: text, descriptions, hints, author’s name, links, etc… In case you want to include more information rather than the location of the treasure, *.LOC files require entering the data manually.
Note: Normally, websites that offer geocaches require a Premium account to download *.GPX geocaches. On the other hand, no registration is needed to download *.LOC geocaches.
