TwoNav 6: What’s new?

The TwoNav 6 App arrives packed with new features designed to ensure your safety on any terrain you set out to explore. Navigate and analyze your routes more easily with new tools that you’ll only find in this update. Try all the new features free for 30 days:

NEW INTEGRATED ROUTE EDITOR

TwoNav 6 includes a handy editor with which you can create routes directly from the app. Use it to build your itineraries from scratch or modify the path of an existing route to make it go wherever you want.

In the new button bar, you can use these tools:

FastTrack
Automatically creates a route path. Just mark the start and end points

Freehand
Create your route path by drawing it directly on the screen with your finger

Roadbook point
Enhance your routes by adding roadbook points with additional info. Select a point to create a roadbook point

You can also delete points from the path or undo the last action performed.

OPENSTREETMAP MAP TO CREATE YOUR ROUTES AUTOMATICALLY

Premium and Pro subscriptions include the high-quality routable OpenStreetMap with worldwide coverage. It features urban roads, mountain trails, rivers, peaks, and key points of interest in each country.

Use it in TwoNav 6 to create your routes using the ‘FastTrack’ tool. Mark the start and end points of your activity, and the ‘FastTrack’ feature will generate your route. ‘FastTrack’ will add waypoints and descriptions at the most important maneuvers along the route.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR A SPECIFIC LOCATION

Say you’re planning a hike in the Pyrenees – with this feature, you can select any point on your route and TwoNav 6 will show the weather forecast for the selected location several days ahead, including temperature, wind, precipitation, and much more.

TOOLBAR MAP SWITCHING FEATURE

Sometimes, while navigating a mountain route, we want to compare the terrain around us using two or more maps to evaluate the best path or understand the surroundings better.

In TwoNav 6, there’s a tool that lets you quickly switch maps in just 2 clicks: the ‘Switch maps’ feature.

TwoNav 6 includes this feature in the toolbar for faster access during your activities.

MAPS PLUS: A SERVER WITH HIGH-QUALITY MAPS

TwoNav 6 gives you access to an online server with sports-specific maps from around the world. These are highly reliable maps, each offering a different view of the same sources, highlighting key data for each sport (cycling, hiking…).

ALL TWONAV MAPS AVAILABLE IN THE NEW MAP SHOP

If you need a map for the area you’re visiting or your current map isn’t detailed enough, TwoNav 6 gives you access to a catalogue of over 30,000 maps from around the world.

To access the map shop from the app, go to ‘Main Menu > Shop’.

The new TwoNav 6 map shop features all types of maps (topographic, orthophotos, road maps…) from major official sources (IGN, Ordnance Survey, BKG, SwissTopo…) and cartographic publishers (Alpina, SUA, Harvey…).

Maps purchased within the app will synchronise with your TwoNav account so you can access them anytime from myTwoNav.com and install them on other products such as a TwoNav GPS or Land.

COMPATIBILITY WITH NEW MAP FORMATS

By upgrading to the new TwoNav 6 version, you’ll be able to work with more map formats such as vector maps *.MPV and open special formats like *.GPKG, *.MBTiles, *.TIF (*.COG), and *.ECW (currently only available for Android devices).

NEW USER INTERFACE

TwoNav 6 introduces a completely revamped and modern icon set. This redesign has been created to improve your user experience while planning your routes.

The new icons are more intuitive and modern, making it easier to prepare and access the key functions of TwoNav.

TWONAV NOW AVAILABLE AS A SUBSCRIPTION MODEL

Choose the subscription that best suits your needs based on the tools you use to plan and navigate your activities with TwoNav 6.

In addition to TwoNav 6, your subscription also gives you access to the rest of the TwoNav ecosystem, including Land 10, high-quality maps, weather forecast, and cloud storage with TwoNav Cloud.

Remember, you can always upgrade or cancel your subscription whenever you wish.
