Berchtesgaden National Park

Route starting at Königsee lake that runs along the Schrainbach river, the Kärlingerhaus refuge (1630 m) and Funtensee lake. Virtually the entire route is uphill, so there’s a considerable elevation gain. Easy access thanks to public transport.

Bavarian Forest National Park
The route begins in Zandt, and along almost 90 kilometres, you will travel along a fairly rocky mountain range with small lakes and swamps until you reach Regensburg, the perfect spot for mountain biking. In 1970, the Bavarian Forest, with its 240 km², was listed as Germany’s first national park.

This hiking trail starts in the small town of Torfhaus and is one of the most popular trails in the Harz National Park. In fact, about 200,000 people frequent this path every year. The route summits in Brocken, the highest mountain in the Harz.
